Concerned Educators Against Forced Unionism Protecting the Rights of American Educators

Helping Educators Regain Control  Let's Return the Focus to Education

CEAFU.org programs shifted public discourse from supporting the 60's Big Labor Education Model to a growing acknowledgement that the primary impediments to education reform are Union Official's with Monopoly Bargaining a.k.a. so-called "Collective Bargaining " powers.

Concerned Educators Against Forced Unionism (CEAFU) is a special project of the National Right to Work Legal Defense and Education Foundation, Inc.  The National Right To Work Foundation argued and won the Janus v. AFSCME case that essential gave all public school teachers the Right To Work, that is the choice not to have to pay union fees and dues as a condition of employment.

Teacher Union Bosses and “The Debacle of Houston’s Failing Schools”

Well, Houston’s schools have failed five times in a row to cross that low bar. Some 200,000 Houston kids are being victimized by this educational ineptitude. So last week state officials announced they would take over the failed school district. Thank God.

Predictably, the unions are throwing a hissy fit.

reason: Teachers Union Closes L.A. Schools Yet Again

The West Coast L.A. School Gangs UTLA and SEIU continue to rival the Midwest Chicago School Gangs CTU and SEIU for undermining students, education, and classroom normalcy. It should be normal to classroom teachers in classrooms for students. But, when children’s education becomes a jobs program rather than an education program, then educating children takes the back seat — if any seat at all.

Matt Welch from reason updates us on the current Los Angeles school shutdown created by the Service Employee International Union (SEIU) and the United Teachers Los Angeles union (UTLA).

Ohio Teachers Union’s “Miserable” Strike

Supposedly, these are part of the issues that lead the teachers’ union in Ohio to strike as schools started back up from the summer:

In Columbus, teachers say they want guarantees of smaller class sizes, full-time art, music and physical education teachers in elementary schools and a cap on the number of class periods throughout the school day.

Minnesota Teacher Union Bosses Ignore Reality

In 1997-1998, as education journalist Mike Antonucci recently noted, citing the archives of the Digest of Education Statistics, MPS “educated 49,157 students” at a cost of $13,076 per pupil in 2018 dollars.

By the 2017-18 academic year, MPS enrollment “had dropped to 32,722 students and the district spent $16,571” per pupil. That’s a 27% increase, above and beyond inflation as measured by the U.S. Labor Department.

The Answer to Strikes: Free Teachers from Union Boss Controls

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Now that the Janus v. AFSCME [link to our description of case] case was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court, teacher union officials are dusting off their militant organizing practices and Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals.

This behavior will at first decrease membership to those who truly believe in ends justify their militant actions.

Those teachers wishing to resign their membership and exercise their Janus Rights, may use the forms located at MyJanusRights.org.

If you wish, you may contact the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation for reliable, free legal advice on your rights with regard to union related matters: info@nrtw.org or (800) 336-3600..

Janus Rights gained from the Janus v. AFSCME  Decision

The U.S. Supreme Court's decision in the landmark Janus v. AFSCME case, held that it is unconstitutional to force public sector employees to pay money to a union as a condition of employment.

The Janus case was named after plaintiff Mark Janus who was represented by National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation staff attorney William Messenger. Messenger's oral arguments were made before the High Court in February 2018. Read More
