Cathy Jones, the passing of a great champion for teachers
It is with deep sadness and regrets that we inform CEAFU.org friends and supporters that our CEAFU.org Director Cathy Jones passed away last week.
As many know, Cathy has been a major force behind CEAFU.org for several decades and the go-to person for many of you. We know that she became friends with many through her position at CEAFU.org and we wanted to inform you of Cathy’s passing.

Catherine Ann Lorsong Jones
AUGUST 22, 1953 – AUGUST 14, 2021Catherine Ann Lorsong Jones, age 67, of Springfield, Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021.
Catherine was born August 22, 1953.
A visitation for Catherine will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151.
A funeral service will occur Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11:30 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029.
