Strike Turns Table on Teacher Union Officials

Teacher union officials who called a strike in Prospect Heights, Illinois, are launching a counter-protest to the Prospect Heights Education Association te
acher union strike.   Karen Anne Cullotta has the story in The Chicago Tribune.

With classes canceled for a seventh day for 1,500 students in Prospect Heights School District 23, frustrated parents say they plan to stage their own counter-protest alongside striking teachers on the picket line Friday evening, as officials begin yet another night of contract negotiations.

Muglia said she and fellow parents who support the school board’s latest teachers contract proposal – which officials are calling their “best and final offer” – have created a Facebook page, D23 PATS (Parents Against the Teachers Strike).
