Maine Teacher Union Officials Agitate for Right to Strike

Although teacher strikes are illegal in Maine teacher union officials joined with AFL-CIO officials to “rally” for bills that would permit government employees the right to strike.   Andy O’Brien, Maine  AFL-CIO spokesman gives the excuse that teacher fight for more funding and pay.  This whole argument gets to the heart of the matter.    Teacher union officials are not concerned about disrupting students’ education and the quality of their education.  It’s all about consolidating their power.  The Times Union has the story.
