NEA Representative Assembly Wants to Cut Off Its Nose to Spite Its Face

Mike Antonucci gives us the chuckle of the Day in his Intercepts blog:

After the speech by Vice President Joe Biden, most of today was spent debating new business items (NBIs). Notable among these:

They approved NBI 22, which directs the union to develop a strategy to reverse the Citizens United decision through an amendment to the Constitution – even though NEA general counsel Alice O’Brien informed the delegates that such an amendment could adversely affect NEA’s own political action.

It’s doubtful NEA officials would go for this constitutional amendment, considering they force teachers into membership and paying dues, to pay for  their radical agenda.  Whether they represent their members’ views or not, NEA teacher labor union officials fight to keep teachers in chains and paying forced dues.
