Joe Banning and Kurt Wright Introduce No Strike Bill in Vermont

Two Republican legislators on Monday in a Burlington press conference announced they are working on an education bill for the upcoming session that would ban teacher strikes, as has unfolded in Burlington.
The proposed bill would also prevent school boards from imposing contracts, would require a public negotiation process unless both sides mutually agree otherwise, and the creation of a task force to try become involved when there are impasses between teachers’ unions and school boards.
